In 2010 the first version of what is now SafetyWise was launched by a landscape construction business owner wanting to keep better records of his site works and any issues. Over subsequent years a huge number of additional features and functions were added from customer feedback. Now, in 2020, it’s been completely redeveloped, renamed and relaunched as SafetyWise with latest cloud app technologies and a simple commercial subscription model.
SafetyWise is a Progressive Web App (PWA) which means there’s nothing to download or update from an “app store”. You simply register/sign in on a web page from a smartphone, tablet or desktop computer and you’ll always be using the latest version. When you first use it on a smartphone you’ll be invited to “Save to Home screen” which will place an icon for the app on your phone.
You can access and use the app with wifi and/or mobile data.
It’ll even work in “offline mode” if you’re outside mobile data coverage, using the last known data you accessed. If you’re offline and you update any data it’ll automatically sync that to the cloud as soon as you next have an internet connection.
